Two weeks with "Artists in residence" in Slovakia. Festival Príbehov - Festival of Stories in Trenčín. It was both inspiring and rewarding to be invited to this beautiful city, which will be the European Capital of Culture in 2026.
On our trip we were asked to create artwork on the walls of Galeria Bazovskeho, an impressive gallery right in the heart of Trencin. It's not every day we get to draw on museum walls. The exhibition is aimed at children, so we chose to paint trolls and monsters - an exciting challenge outside of what we usually do. Our works will also carry an important message about mental health.
In addition to the exhibition, we led a traditional painting workshop and created wonderful new relationships, including a fantastic opportunity to meet talented illustrators and artists from Slovakia.
